Palo Santo, also known as "Holy Wood", is a dry forest tree and is also called ' sacred wood '. The tree blooms yellow and has hard, resinous wood that is regarded as strong and resilient under the extremely harsh conditions prevalent in South America in the highlands of the Andes. Palo Santo belongs botanically to the Bursera family and its special feature is its high resin content ( Copal resin) within the wood. Palo Santo sticks are used in order to remove negative energies from the environment.
These sticks are ethically collected from the fallen branches of trees that have died a natural way on and Ecuador farm. Our supplier is involved in the reforestation of Palo Santo forest within Ecuador.
